We are so thankful for both our Senate and Legislative authors for the 2022 Session. Senators Duckworth, Pratt, Chamberlain & Latz brought forth SF 3840 and Representatives Pinto, Moller, Feist, Poston, Becker-Finn authored HF 4174. During the spring of 2022 HF 4174 was heard in the house public safety committee and passed on to the Judiciary and Finance Committee. We received a hearing in this committee as well and were held over.
Unfortunately the senate judiciary and public safety committee did not give us a hearing and so when the session came to a close in June of 2022 so did our chances for passing the reform including retroactivity based on the task force recommendations.
